Lateral malleolar fracture

Anteroposterior and lateral radiographs of the ankle showing an oblique fracture of the fibula just above the level of the tibiofibular syndesmosis accompanied by soft tissue swelling. Syndesmosis or medial malleolar injury not evident in this patient.

The findings are consistent with isolated lateral malleolar fracture.
