Presentation

Transposition of the great vessels switch. Uncomplicated surgery.

Age: 6 days
Gender: Male

Multiple lines and tubes following recent cardiac surgery. The neonate is not intubated.

Right internal jugular line and NG tube are positioned appropriately. In addition, there is a mediastinal catheter that loops around the left side of the heart with its tip projected close to the midline. It is difficult to be absolute on a chest radiograph findings alone, but this is a left atrial catheter that has been placed during surgery.
