Right femur: 41.0 cm
Left femur: 40.5 cm
Right tibia: 30.5 cm
Left tibia: 30.0 cm
There is a small difference between both lower limbs, about 1.0 cm.
Case Discussion
Lower limbs scanogram is done with three radiographic exposures: one each centered over the hip, knees and ankle joints. This exam is used to calculate the length of the femur and tibia, failing to account for any shortening related to the foot.
