Case Discussion

Carpal coalition are relatively common anomalies in which two or more carpal bones fail to segment during development. This results in congenital fusion which may be bony (as in this case), cartilaginous or fibrous. Lunotriquetral coalitions are the most common type of carpal coalition and are typically asymptomatically and detected incidentally.
