Presentation
Headache and ataxia.
Patient Data
Heterogeneous solid-cystic mass enlarging the left cerebellar hemisphere with mass effect over the fourth ventricle and mildly over the pons causing supratentorial hydrocephalus. It has multiple small cystic components that suppress on FLAIR and it shows mild contrast enhancement and restricted diffusion on its solid parts.
Case Discussion
This case shows a heterogeneous solid-cystic mass arising from the left cerebellar hemisphere and protruding into the fourth ventricle in a 30 years old male. It was reported and later confirmed as a medulloblastoma.
Some features such as the restricted diffusion the cerebellar location favor this diagnosis.
It is predictable that this medulloblastoma will be of the sonic hedgehog (SHH) subtype.
