Large extra-axial mass arising form the olfactory groove in the anterior cranial fossa associated with edema in the right frontal lobe. At some places the cortex is not visible, despite a good CSF cleft seen surrounding the majority of the mass.
Case Discussion
The patient went on to have a resection which confirmed the diagnosis of WHO grade II meningioma (brain invasion).
Although invasive meningiomas more frequently have edema, edema per se is not a good predictor of invasiveness.
