Meningioma - invasive

Case contributed by: Dr Vic Venu

Presentation:

Headaches increasing over past few months.

Patient Data:

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian
Modality: MRI

Large extra-axial mass in the anterior cranial fossa with surrounding oedema.

Case Discussion:

Although invasive meningiomas (which this was confirmed to be) more frequently have oedema, oedema per se is not a good predictor of invasivness.
