35 y/o man with knee pain

Patient Data:

Gender: Male
Modality: MRI
Multiloculated collection of fluid appearing bright on the T2-weighted images extending from the base of the medial meniscus antero-laterally.

Case Discussion:

Parameniscal cysts may develop as a result of a torn meniscus acting as a one-way value for joint fluid to flow into the parameniscal tissues.
