Presentation

Foot trauma due to a fall on the ground - 12 days back. Localized pain midfoot region, dorsal-medial aspect.

Patient Data

Gender: Male

XR within 1 2 days of...

ultrasound

XR within 1 2 days of injury Suspicious undisplaced cortical breach. Referred to check tibialis posterior tendon / undisplaced fracture.

A cortical breach involving the navicular dorsal cortex with overlying soft tissue thickening. Normal tibialis posterior tendon.

Comparison with the asymptomatic side was done.

Case Discussion

The patient with post-traumatic mid-foot pain shows a navicular fracture.
