Neurofibroma of the vagus nerve

Presentation:

Right neck pain.

Patient Data:

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Right sided neck rodlike low attenuating mass lesion identified at carotid space following the course of right vagus nerve up to the jugular foramen with no bony destruction identified.

The mass demonstrates faint enhancement at the center.

There are few scattered non-enlarged cervical lymph nodes.

Case Discussion:

The lesion was excised and confirmed to be a neurofibroma.
