Age: Newborn

The tube in the upper mediastinum is a Replogle tube in the upper pouch rather than an ET tube. Appearances are of esophageal atresia with tracheoesophageal fistula. 

Lungs are well expanded and clear. Heart size is at the upper limit of normal. The mediastinal contour is normal. 

Case Discussion

A newborn with esophageal atresia associated with tracheo-esophageal fistula. Gas in the stomach and small bowel mean that there must be an associated tracheo-esophageal fistula.
