Linear filling defect anteriorly producing a "jet" of contrast at the level of C5. This is in keeping with an esophageal web.

- esophageal webs arise from the anterior wall or are less commonly circumferential
- most commonly occurs within 2cm of cricopharyngeus muscle
- usually only seen when the esophagus is maximally distended with contrast
