Osteoblastic bone metastases from breast cancer

Presentation:

A 46 year old lady with known breast cancer and back pain was referred for bone scintigraphy and thoraco-abdominal CT.

Modality: Nuclear medicine

Case Discussion:

Multiple foci of enhanced osteblastic activity were detected corresponding to hyper-attenuating metastases on CT. Pure osteoblastic lesions are unusual for breast cancer metastases.
