Osteochondroma of the intertrochanteric crest with encasement of the sciatic nerve

Presentation:

Left sciatica and numbness at the sole of the foot. A previous MRI of the lumbar spine showed no abnormalities.

Patient Data:

Age: 30
Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian

The sciatic nerve runs in a groove at the tip of the osteochondroma. A bursa has formed between the lesion and the glutaeus maximus.
