Presentation

This young lady presented with right-sided loin and pelvic pain. No menstrual irregularity.

Calcification is seen on the right side of the pelvis.

Right adnexal mass with fat and calcified contents.

Case Discussion

Right sided pelvic mass that contains fat and calcification.  This is a classical appearance of a ovarian dermoid. The calcification on the plain film was originally described in the region of the ureter and could have been easily wrongly diagnosed as a urteric calculus.
