FNA Final Diagnosis:

Papillary carcinoma of thyroid

Microscopic Description:

The fine needle aspirate from the neck region is a cellular aspirate showing clusters of atypical follicular epithelial cells and inspissated colloid. Some of the clusters are associated with colloid. No definite papillary fragments are seen. However, there is an occasional stromal fibrovascular core identified.

Individual clusters of epithelial cells show cells with irregular nuclear outlines and nuclear grooves. A focal intranuclear inclusion is seen.
There is crowding and overlapping of nuclei present. Some of the clusters have a Hurthle cell appearance with more abundant cytoplasm.
