Undisplaced, longitudinal sagittal comminuted fracture through the patella extending to the lateral articular facet, without a step or articular gap. Moderate-sized joint effusion. No tibial or femoral fracture was identified. Small calcific focus medial to the knee joint may represent calcification within the medial collateral ligament or represent old trauma.
Background mild degenerative change.
