Pectus excavatum

Case contributed by Dr Frank Gaillard
Modality: X-ray

Case Discussion:

PA chest x-rays in a 10 year old child demonstrate leftward shift of the mediastinum and blurring of the right heart border. Additionally the outline of the descending aorta is lost.

Lateral view confirms marked pectus excavatum deformity.
