Presentation:
A 6-year-old girl with an unusual suprasellar tumor, referred for further evaluation.

Diagnosis:
BRAIN, SELLAR/SUPRASELLAR TUMOR, RESECTION:
PILOCYTIC ASTROCYTOMA, WHO GRADE I (SEE COMMENT).
Comment:
Although myxoid change is prominent in specimen 1, the other feature of pilomyxoid astrocytoma, i.e. perivascular cellular arrangement is lacking. Also, focal biphasic pattern, perivascular hyalinization and eosinophilic granular bodies are observed.
