Coronal T2 fat-sat: normal left prosthesis. Complete right intracapsular rupture with collapsed (non-linguine) envelope (arrows) and extrusion of silicon inot the host capsule.
Axial silicon-sensitive sequence (i.e.only silicon shows as high signal): collapsed envelope (arrow) and extrusion of silicon into the host capsule.
Silicon-supressed sequence: small bubbles of fluid (arrow) trapped in the extruded silicon and collapsed envelope.
Sagittal T2W images: reactive level 1 lymph node not containing silicon, i.e. not high signal on the silicon sensitive sequence. Bubbles of fluid (salad oil sign; arrow) contained within the extruded silicon and collapsed envelope
