Presentation

A patient with known psoriasis and a history of recurrent asymmetric oligo-arthritis presented with swelling and pain of the right knee.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Effusion and synovial thickening without relevant signs of internal derangement (only moderate degeneration of the posterior horn of the inner meniscus).

Case Discussion

There are no specific signs as to the etiology of the synovial inflammation. Diagnosis must rely on the history of the patient.
