Quadrigeminal plate lipoma

Presentation

Headache.

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

Centered on the left quadrigeminal plate is a mass lesion that has high T1 and T2 signal and has low signal on fat-suppressed imaging. There is no associated ventriculomegaly or corpus callosal abnormality. Features are those of a quadrigeminal plate lipoma.

Case Discussion

Intracranial lipomas are usually an incidental asymptomatic finding, their importance stemming mainly from the fact that they should not be confused with other pathology.
