Presentation

Limited pronation and supination on clinical examination.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a bony fusion of the proximal end of the radius and ulna inferring radioulnar synostosis.

Case Discussion

Proximal radio-ulnar synostosis can be congenital or result following trauma and is characterized by bony fusion at the proximal aspect of the radius and ulna.

Some associated conditions have been described such as Poland syndrome and Cornelia de Lange syndrome.
