Lateral pelvis x-ray

Modality: X-ray

Lateral x-ray of the pelvis demonstrates a large instant coffee jar in the rectum. There appears to be a number of pins stuck in the rubber inside of the lid.

Case Discussion:

This patient was admitted... well for obvious reasons. The pins inserted in the inner rubber part of the lid are of unknown significance. The jar was of a well known brand of instant coffee... which I will not mention as perhaps it is not the image the manufacturers are going for...
