Pain and swelling in the left thigh after a collision in a soccer match.

Diffuse edema of the rectus femoris muscle, within which a circumscribed inhomogeneous collection is visible, which show low to moderate signal on T1W and inhomogeneous, discretely hyperintense signal T2W. Note black boundary artifact around the collection on T2W.
