Sacral tumor with lung metastases

Presentation

Buttock mass

Patient Data

Age: 5 years

AXR revealed a destructive lesion of the sacrum with widening of the interpedicular distance in the lumbar vertebrae.

CXR revealed multiple soft tissue densities which are presumably metastases from an invading sacral tumor.

Case Discussion

A 5 year old presented with a buttock mass initially presumed to be an abscess. Chest x-ray revealed multiple pulmonary nodules raising the possibility of pulmonary metastasis from the sacral destructive lesion.
