Case contributed by Garth Kruger
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female
mammography

MLO view left breast shows an uncomplicated left breast submammary prosthesis 2011. Capsular calcification noted.

After one year

mammography

A year later the same view shows a subtle but obvious newly appeared parenchymal asymmetry anterior to the prosthesis. The additional ML views show the area and its poorly defined margins.
