The anterior humeral line passes through the anterior third of the capitellum indicating a type 1b supracondylar fracture.
Case Discussion
This is a grade Ib supracondylar fracture with minimal posterior displacement. These are the cases where the anterior humeral line is particularly useful. The anterior humeral line does not intersect the middle third of the capitellum, although it does intersect the anterior portion (making it a Ib).
