Surgical neck of humerus fracture

Presentation:

Fall at home when going to bathroom. Painful right shoulder.

Patient Data:

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
Race: Caucasian
Modality: X-ray

There is a fracture through the surgical neck of the humerus.  The shaft ofthe humerus appears displaced anteriorly and superiorly.  The humeral headis rotated within the glenoid, with the normal articular surface lost. ACJ arthropathy.

6 weeks post op

Modality: X-ray

Plate and screw ORIF performed.
