An irregular hypoechoic area is noted deep to lower end of appendectomy scar. Its size is about 15 x 15 x 10 mm. No mobile echoes are noted within. Local hypervascularity is noted. It involves subcutaneous fat. The involvement of fascia of external oblique is doubtful. No intra-peritoneal extension is noted. Curvilinear parallel lines are noted within it, suggestive of a suture material.
Case Discussion
Findings suggest suture granuloma at appendectomy scar site.
Granuloma was surgically removed.
