Case Discussion:
CT report : Large lipohaemarthrosis. Comminuted fracture of the lateral tibial plateau which appears to extend into the intercondylar spines. The main lateral tibial plateaufragments are depressed by at least 5mm and there is a gap which is wider anteriorly than posteriorly. There is an associated fracture of the fibular / head neck junction.Soft tissue injuries are best assessed by MRI.
Conclusion: Comminuted combined cleavage and compression fracture of the lateral tibial plateau with associated fracture of the fibular head / neck region.
