MRI of the head and neck shows a lobulated mass involving the anterior part of the oral tongue. The mass is hyperintense T2 and hypointense T1. Small foci of hypointense T2 signal are seen, compatible with flow voids. Although an atypical location, the findings are characteristic of hemangioma.
