Anonymity of cases / images

All cases submitted should be de-identified, in such a way as to leave no way of identifying an individual patient. Information which should NOT appear on any of the cases includes, but is not limited to:

  • Name
  • Hospital number / ID
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • etc...

If any identifying information is present the case will be taken down or altered to be anonymous. If you find such a case please contact us at privacy@radiopaedia.org.

The way we use information

We use the information you provide about yourself to identify contributions, and therefore enabling you to be contact about your contributions.

If you write to any of the Radiopaedia.org email addresses, we use the return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers / sponsors. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of registrars or consultants are registered members, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
