Dr. Matthew R. Skalski is a musculoskeletal radiology research fellow at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine and a part-time radiology instructor at Southern California University of Health Sciences. In addition to his endless pursuit of knowledge in radiology, he is also a talented medical illustrator. He acquired this self-taught skill due to his passion to maximize teaching effectiveness and perpetuate the FOAMed model (Free Open Access Medical Education).
An interesting fact about Matt is that he came to radiology through a unique path as a Chiropractor, completing a 3.5 year chiropractic radiology residency in 2015, which was heavily focused on musculoskeletal imaging.
