The interpedicular distance is the measurement between the pedicles on frontal/coronal imaging, which can be narrowed in a number of situations including:

In 1966, Hinck et al. published a series of "normal" interpedicular distances from C3 to L5 for males and females in the pediatric (aged 3) to adult population 1.
