Ahumada-Del Castillo syndrome is a rare endocrine disorder affecting adult females, which is characterised by galactorrhoea-amenorrhoea not associated with pregnancy with oestrogen deficiency and decreased urinary gonadotropin levels.

The underlying pathophysiology is disruption of the hypothalamus-pituitary axis due to the following causes:
small tumours in the pituitary gland or hypothalamus
dopamine inhibitors such as chlorpromazine
