Antimuscarinics decrease bowel movements in pelvic MRI, and may be used for better image acquisition.

Usually, 20mg of hyoscine butylbromide IM/IV is administered prior to examination.

Contraindications

Additionally, precautions mention:

Down syndrome
Ulcerative colitis
Hypertension
Tachycardia
Open angle glaucoma
Pregnancy
