- Aortic spindles
Aortic spindles are an anatomical variant of the proximal descending thoracic aorta. It occurs just distal to the aortic isthmus and has a circumferential smooth bulging appearance.
Differential diagnosis
- ductus diverticulum: not circumferential
- aortic pseudoaneurysm
- thoracic aortic aneurysm
