Bennett lesion of the shoulder

A Bennett lesion is mineralization of the posterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligament as a result of extra-articular posterior capsular avulsion injury. 

It should not to be confused with Bennett fracture dislocation of the thumb.

Radiographic features

It is best seen on CT or axillary view x-ray of the shoulder as a curvi-linear extra-articular calcification along the posteroinferior rim of the osseous glenoid.
