Bullough lesion

Bullough lesions, or Bullough's bumps, are protuberant fibro-osseous lesions of the temporal bone, involving the external mastoid surface.

Only a handful of case reports are available since it was first described in 1999 1-4.

These lesions feature a bland fibrous stroma with interspersed foci of ossification 1,2.

CT shows an exophytic, heterogeneously ossified mass arising from the cortex of the temporal bone near the occipitomastoid suture 2.
