CT angiogram chest (summary)

CTA chest, also known by terms just as CT aorta, is a CT examination of the chest specifically performed to examine the arterial system in detail. It is performed with IV contrast that must be injected at a high rate and therefore requires a large cannula in a large vein that will take a rapid injection.
