There are numerous cystic lesions that occur around the vagina and female urethra.
Differential diagnosis
Gartner duct cyst: at or above the level of the pubic symphysis anterior to the vaginal wall
Bartholin gland cyst: posterolateral to distal vaginal wall inferior to the pubic symphysis
Bartholin gland tumor: consider if discovered in the postmenopausal patient
Skene duct cyst: centered anterior to the distal portion of the urethra close to the external urethral meatus

Nabothian cyst: located at a much higher position within the uterine cervix
adenoma malignum of the cervix extending to upper vagina
mucus cysts of vagina: in proximal vagina; derived from Mullerian duct
