- pancreatic pseudocyst
- non-pancreatic pseudocyst
- retroperitoneal lymphocele
- urinoma
- tailgut cyst
- retroperitoneal hematoma with liquefaction
- retroperitoneal hydatid cyst
- retroperitoneal bronchogenic cyst 1
- cisterna chyli: if in expected location to the right of the aorta, lies posterior to the right crus usually at L1, L2 level 4
