Disclosures are an important part of your user profile.
Radiopaedia.org strives to ensure our content is free from commercial bias or undue corporate influence. Furthermore, transparency is important to us. We, therefore, encourage and require you to truthfully and fully include relevant financial disclosures in the dedicated disclosure section.
This requirement is part of our terms of use, which by using the site, you agree to abide by.
On this page:
What do you need to disclose?
Please disclose all financial relationships, regardless of the amount, that you have had in the past 24 months with any ineligible company.
Additionally, please disclose any relationship and/or information that could be seen to bias your contributions.
You will be prompted to update your disclosures before making any edits if you haven't updated your disclosures in the past 12 months. You can, and should, update your disclosures at any time when they arise by visiting the disclosures section of your profile page.
Examples of ineligible companies
Ineligible companies are based on the definition and list proposed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) 1.
An ineligible company is any entity whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients.
For example:
advertising, marketing, or communication firms whose clients are ineligible companies
bio-medical start-ups that have begun a governmental regulatory approval process
compounding pharmacies that manufacture proprietary compounds
device manufacturers or distributors
diagnostic labs that sell proprietary products
growers, distributors, manufacturers or sellers of medical foods and dietary supplements
manufacturers of health-related wearable products
pharmaceutical companies or distributors
pharmacy benefit managers
reagent manufacturers or sellers
This definition is based on that proposed by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). For a more exhaustive list see the ACCME standards page via external links below.
And remember, if in doubt, please err on the side of over-disclosure.
