Editor-in-chief

Last revised by Frank Gaillard on 1 Sep 2024

The role of editor-in-chief at Radiopaedia.org is held by Henry Knipe.

Henry is a Consultant Radiologist, working in Tasmania, Australia, and has a long history of involvement with Radiopaedia, starting when he was a registrar working in Melbourne.

The previous editor-in-chief was the Founder, and our benevolent dictator for life (BDFL), Associate Professor Frank Gaillard.

Editorial independence

The Editor-in-Chief maintains full editorial independence in all aspects of content creation and curation, free from undue influence by the board of Radiopaedia, the owners and the Chief Executive Officer. While the board provides strategic oversight and ensures alignment with the organisation’s mission and values, it does not interfere with the editorial processes or decisions. This independence is crucial for upholding the integrity and trustworthiness of our content, ensuring that it remains free from external pressures, including those from financial stakeholders.
