The falling snow sign is referred to as the ultrasonographic appearance of movement of low-level internal echoes away from the transducer, resulting in falling snow appearance. It is also demonstrated when color Doppler is applied, as it gives color signals with moving particles. The sign is described in the diagnosis of different conditions as:
