Featured cases

Last revised by Frank Gaillard on 29 Aug 2023

Featured cases are a way for our editorial board to highlight public cases that that are awesome in some way and are shown on our homepage as Case of the day; you can see prior featured cases here.

Each month one case from the preceding month is chosen by the Featured Case Committee as the Case of the Month.

They need not be rare or unusual. Good examples of common pathology, or a good diagram, or cases with pathology specimens or clinical photographs all offer something to our community. Generally, cases with high diagnostic certainty and high completeness percentage are chosen.

In addition to being displayed on the homepage, we may also select cases to be promoted on our various social media outlets (e.g. Facebook and Twitter).
