Flexor carpi radialis muscle

Last revised by Dr Daniel J Bell on 16 Jan 2021

Flexor carpi radialis (FCR) muscle is found in the first layer of the anterior compartment of the forearm. It does not pass through the carpal tunnel, but rather by itself in a small separate tunnel between the superficial and deep layers of the flexor retinaculum along the scaphoid and trapezium. It is one of the extrinsic muscles of the hand.
