A Fulkerson osteotomy is a type of tibial tuberosity transfer procedure usually performed for patella instability. There are standard and modified procedures in use.
Radiographic features
Plain radiograph
Plain films usually show evidence of surgery at the site of the tibial tuberosity with features of an osteotomy and antero-posteriorly oriented screws.
History and etymology
It was originally described in 1983 and is named after J P Fulkerson 1.
