Gadodiamide

Gadodiamide (brand name: OmniscanTM) is an extracellular intravenous contrast agent used in magnetic resonance imaging.

  • linear, non-ionic molecule 
  • 100% renally excreted
  • T1 relaxivity at 1.5 tesla: 4.0-4.6
  • concentration: 0.5 mmol.ml-1
  • recommended dosage: 0.1 mmol.kg-1
Indications

As an extracellular contrast agent, gadodiamide can be useful in a wide range of MRI applications, including (but not limited to): hepatic imaging, pelvic imaging, cardiac imaging, brain and spine imaging, and musculoskeletal imaging.
