The henry (symbol: H) is the SI derived unit of electrical inductance.
Terminology
As per all other eponymous SI units when the unit is written out in full it is not capitalised, but when shortened to its symbol it is capitalised.
History and etymology
The henry is named in honour of Joseph Henry (1797-1878) an American physicist who discovered electromagnetic inductance 1.
